Was your Brown diploma signed by Ray Heffner, Don Hornig, Howard Swearer, or perhaps Merton Stoltz in his interim year? Maybe even Barnaby Keeney? If you remember Morrison’s Typewriter and Jone Pasha, University Drugs (long before CVS) on the corner of Waterman and Thayer, the staggering effort to do a live radio or TV remote, or single-sex dorms with pay phones that received calls, we’d especially like you to join us for:

SECOND ANNUAL(!) Pre-HOLIDAY "CLASSIC" ALUMNI HAPPY HOUR

at Muldoon’s Irish Pub, Newport Beach,

Weds. Nov. 19, 2025, 4 to 6:30 PM

No admission charge, lots of free parking, very informal – but buy your own drinks and food. Muldoon’s hearkens back to Grad Center Bar-type hospitality, has great Happy Hour specials, and a wonderful menu of libations and munchies. See:

If you are not quite that old, you will still be very welcome, but we may insist on adult supervision.

This is the Wednesday before the Wednesday before Thanksgiving (think about it – it does make sense), and will get you into the holiday spirit before the high-pressure rush of the holidays arrives. It is also the Wednesday before the last Brown football game of 2025.

Bring the positive attitude you had for a Fondue party with Cold Duck in someone’s dorm room. Coffee, however, will NOT be Maxim or Taster’s Choice instant with water from an aluminum hot pot.
