Prof. Gordon S. Wood Dies in Supermarket Parking Lot
Mr. Wood in retirement a few years ago Gordon S. Wood, Prof. Emeritus of American History at Brown, died at age 92 over the weekend. Mr. Wood was fatally struck by a car in a supermarket parking lot on Taunton Ave. in East Providence. (Honest!) A Sad Year Made Sadder - The Death of Louie's
I am certain I am not the only Brown alum who survived for 4 years in Providence because of the cuisine of the Louis Family Restaurant on Brook St. just south of Benevolent, behind the Wriston Quad.
