An Old-Style Pre-Holiday Happy Hour 11/20 at Muldoon's

Join us (if you can) for a pre-Holiday Happy Hour mixer at Muldoon's Irish Pub, Newport Beach on Weds. 11/20/24, 4-6 PM. We'd especially like to see you if your Brown diploma was signed by Ray Hefner, Don Hornig, Howard Swearer, maybe Merton Stoltz (acting president for a year) or - if you go back that far - Barnaby Keeney.

"Youngsters" welcome - but we'll provide adult supervision! And get ready to laugh with your elders!

Muldoon's is a Newport Beach institution in Newport Center, with lots of free parking, easy access, and old-fashioned Irish hospitality. OK - the pitchers will not be 75 cents like they were at Grad Center Bar happy hours, but Muldoon's food menu includes more than just Beer Nuts. This is a no-host event, so you buy your own drinks and food. That's the bad news.

BUT - if you remember fondue parties, grinders, the first Cosmopolitan male centerfold, Jack Thomas smoking Lark cigarettes through his history classes and Bob Padden's lecture on the History of Tobacco - or even if you don't - come join us the Wednesday before the Wednesday before Thanksgiving (think about it) at Muldoon's in Newport and we'll have a toast to Old Brown!
