This year has been challenging for everyone but also a year of opportunity and growth for your club.
2021 brought us:
February: What Can History Teach Us About Pandemics? A Conversation with Author John M. Barry ‘68
March: Black Voters and Activists and US Democracy in 2021 with Professor Juliet Hooker
July: San Joaquin Marsh & Wildlife Sanctuary Hike
September: Ashish Jha: COVID and the Path Forward
October: Andrew Yang Forward Tour
November: An Evening with David Sedaris
These events illustrate your club's efforts to provide relevant topics and speakers in both virtual and in-person "mode" while gradually moving back to COVID-safe events that appeal to a variety of constituents. We hope we have succeeded in our mission to continue building community for our Orange County alumni, parents and Friends of Brown - and we couldn't have done it without your support!
Please let us know how we're doing! Are there events or speakers you would like to see? Email, text or call with your opinions. As the year draws to a close, your board will soon be planning events for 2022 starting with a Jabberwocks concert in January. If you want to get involved in planning or hosting an event, or you just want to learn more about the club, please let us know. We need more volunteers and new ideas, and we want your input!
Happy Holidays and Best Wishes for a HEALTHY and Happy 2022!
Ever true,
