Brown at Penn Football ESPN-U 10/31/25 4 PT

There's a lot going on Friday night - Halloween, the 6th game of the World Series, and WWE Friday Night Smackdown.

In this blizzard of great events, ESPN-U will give us a live national TV broadcast of the Brown-Penn football game at 4 PM Pacific Time, direct from Franklin Field on the Penn campus in Philadelphia.

History abounds! Franklin Field, at 33rd and Spruce Sts. in Philadelphia (across 33rd St. from the Towne School of Civil Engineering and Moore School of Electrical Engineering buildings) opened in 1895, with the first scoreboard in college sports, and some wooden grandstands. The current brick and steel structure opened in 1925, and a second deck was added about 10 years later. It has hosted more college games than any other stadium in America, a lot of pro football games - the Philadelphia Eagles played there for about 15 seasons - and is the oldest football stadium in the world. Looks nice today ...

This will be the 93rd meeting of Brown and Penn. The Quakers are up 64-26-2 over the Bears all time, and won last year in Providence. Brown is having a resurgent football year, although they lost in 2 overtimes to Cornell last week. Maybe they can get some revenge on the Quakers this year.

Since I have degrees from both schools, I can't lose. But I'd love to see Brown crawl back toward a .500 season. Hope you enjoy the game!
