About the event
Can style spark real change? Do bags have genders? And…is the front-pocket wallet ever acceptable?
Join us for a dynamic fireside chat with Kibwe Chase-Marshall (‘10), cofounder of the elevated, essential accessories brand Lance Pierres Los Angeles. In conversation, he’ll share how his craft-driven startup is forging a more equitable path—reimagining sustainability, redefining identity through design, and challenging how we see and consume fashion.
His work has appeared in Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, and Town & Country, where he explores the intersections of identity, aesthetics, and expression (in short: Beyoncé). In 2020, he cofounded The Kelly Initiative, advancing transparency and racial equity in the fashion industry.
Now based in Los Angeles, Chase-Marshall brings a bold, multidisciplinary perspective as a designer, writer, and advocate—examining how personal presentation can shift culture in ways both subtle and profound.
