About the event
Join the Brown Club of Orange County for a hike in our coastal hills on Sunday March 29 at 4 pm. We will start from Coastal Peak Park in Newport Beach, which features ample parking as well as restrooms and water. There will be plenty of sunshine to enjoy the views. Specifics such as the rally point and other hike details will follow closer to the hiking date.
Note that unlike our last excursion, which had only moderate elevation changes and took about an hour, this will be a "real" hike taking closer to two hours. There will be long up and down stretches along the main trail, featuring both ocean and mountain views. Then a trek down the steeper "Lizard Trail" into a tree-filled canyon area. So, bring ample water, and your favorite hiking boots or shoes.
