About the event
As autumn will soon be here, join us to celebrate and learn about Korean Chuseok, South Korea’s largest traditional holiday. Yes, there are other Asian cultures that celebrate mid-autumn/moon festivals, but it’s a 3-day holiday in South Korea and is considered the Korean Thanksgiving.
Besides songpyeon (rice cakes with sweet filling), typical food eaten during Chuseok are chapchae (stir fried glass noodles), jeon (savory pancakes), and galbi jjim (braised beef short ribs), which will all be part of the menu. Dinner will be held at Ye Dang, one of our favorite Korean restaurants in Orange County. Here’s a link to the menu.
Cost: $40/person (including tax and tip) to be collected at the restaurant. We require a $10 (non-refundable) deposit per person to protect the restaurant from lost patronage, to be applied to your meal cost. (So, it will be $30/person the day of.)
